"As a young girl I remember hearing the sound of tractors starting up at dawn. It meant it was harvest time again. The smell of grape must permeated through the streets for days. My parents and, especially, my grandparents taught me the value of belonging to this land and, like an old vine with my feet rooted in the soil, I grew up to love the place around me.
When Rafa appeared in my life, we decided to give form to this dry land of stones, old vines, strong winds and hospitable people. I’ll never forget how it felt to open our winery doors for the first time. At that moment we started out on a journey which does not just honour generations of my family and a way of working the land, but is also a symbol of the village where I was born and grew up.
We aim for our wines to reflect the landscapes they are made in. The vines and soils are the protagonists of our wines. Wherever you may be, here at home or on the other side of the world, when you close your eyes we want you to experience the same aromas that captivated me as a young girl at harvest time."
